Antique Oil Painting on Canvass by Gerard Wiegman
A beautiful antique oil painting on canvass by Gerard Wiegman (1875-1964). This is Dutch in origin, it was painted in the early twentieth century around the 1920-30’s.
It depicts an oil tanker in harbour, flanked by smaller boats. It is beautifully executed in the impressionist style, and is mounted in a gorgeous gilt wood frame.
The condition is excellent for its age, with only some extremely minor wear here and there.
Width – 17 inches , 43 cm
Depth – 2 inches , 5 cm
