Very unusual antique French cast iron lantern with a very lifelike cast iron bat attached to the top. This lantern has glass panels & has just been re-wired. It’s in very good condition & I would date it to around the 1910 period, although it’s hard to date exactly, because I’ve never come across something like this. This lantern also has the original ceiling rose attachment. The sculptured bat is very lifelike.
