Antique Brass Bound Teak Bucket. HMS Terrible
Antique Brass Bound Bucket from the teak of HMS Terrible.
This fine quality brass bound teak bucket was made by the renowned company Lister from the teak timbers of the Cruiser HMS Terrible after she was scrapped in 1932.
The Terrible & sister ship Powerfull provided the guns & gun crews for the defence of Ladysmith in the Boer war.
HMS Terrible was commisioned in 1899.
The mark for Lister is found on the base of the bucket & the brass plaque is fixed to the interior.
Condition is used but very good.
Size height 13", diameter 14"
