This is a spectacular Victorian amethyst paste riviere type necklace in silver.

There are 10 beautiful dark stones suspended on a silver chain, creating this lovely necklace that looks absolutely magnificent on!

The stones and settings (the lower part of the necklace) are all original, but the chain is a later addition.

Nevertheless, it’s just as beautiful as the all original rivieres for a fraction of the price!

Condition There is a chip to one of the stones. It is just above the lower part of the setting though, so it’s not at all visible. You can only see it on close inspection. Other than that there are only sings of wear commensurate with age and the chain is in excellent condition. I’d like to point out that the central dent to one of the stones (visible in one of the photos) is not damage. It’s just an uneven part that possibly occurred during the moulding process.

The stones in their settings measure 1.5 x 1.2 cm each.

The extended length of the necklace is 42 cm.
