A late 18th/early 19th century spiral candlestick with carrying hook to avoid the wax dripping onto the hand, a traveller to the side so that the candle can be adjusted up and down.On its original turned wood base.There is slight movement in the metal stem and the carrying hook is slightly crooked - all adds to the character.
