Large African bronze ceremonial tribal necklace,c1920. Most likely from the Bamileke tribal area, Cameroon, it is beautifully cast , heavy (1.25kg) and decorated with 19 individually cast Elephant heads. It has taken on great colour/patina after years of use, with just the right amount of Verdigris to the bronze. Overall condition is good with just one of the 19 heads missing an ear.
