A 17th Century Wainscot Chair

A characterful joined oak arm chair with fabulous dark oak patina throughout.

Probably Yorkshire, the crest with charming foliate and scroll decoration, the back panel enriched with lozenge and fluttering pennant, all finely carved by hand.

The downswept arms flanking a boarded seat and resting on turned gun barrel legs united by peripheral stretchers.
