Arts and Crafts tub desk elbow chair
A high quality and decorative Arts & Crafts mahogany tub elbow chair with a very attractive turned and railed frame throughout. The tub chair has a padded back, which rests upon a central open work railing comprised of eleven ball and stick spindles. The simple curved arm rests are supplemented by two curved mid rails on either side of the chair. These then join to the beautifully turned front legs, which are in turn linked by a central stretcher with three bobbins. The front legs continue upwards to form finials that act as raised hand rests. The chair back and sprung seat are fully traditionally re-upholstered by The Sitting Place and finished in Khiva fabric (grass colourway) by Linwood and dark green braid and cord. Without a doubt this chair would make a striking desk chair, particularly if themed up with a desk in the similar period and style. Music cabinet and accessories are for display purposes only.
Where applicable, our upholstered items of stock are fully newly traditionally re-upholstered in-house using only traditional materials and no foam so as to be in-keeping with the age of the piece as an antique.

Condition Condition Good original condition with minimal signs of wear commensurate with age and past use. Small nick to wood of outer back rail corner just beneath the trimming. One spindle has been neatly repaired and is only visible on close scrutiny.

Returns policy
There is a right to cancel an order from the moment the order is placed to The Sitting Place up to 14 days from the day the item is delivered/received. In the unlikely event that the customer/buyer is not pleased with a purchase made from The Sitting Place, the item in question may be returned. Notification of a return to The Sitting Place is to be made by the customer by email or by phone on +44(0)7341770324.
The item needs to be returned within a further 14 days to The Sitting Place and in the condition the item was received and suitable for re-sale. The customer is to take reasonable care and ensure that the item is well protected when returning the item. The customer is informed that a deduction of the refund will be made to cover for delivery cost to complete the return of the item(s) (unless otherwise agreed). A further reduction of the refund can be made by The Sitting Place if the value of the item has been reduced as a result of the customer handling the item more than was necessary or as a result of the item being soiled and/or damaged.
The return of the item will be arranged by The Sitting Place. Refunds will be made to the customer/buyer, within 14 days of The Sitting Place receiving the returned item(s). Returns cannot be made for items purchased from outside the United Kingdom.
