A wonderful Arts & Crafts antique brooch attributed to Bernard Instone. This unusual design has a spiral rope-twist body and a central enamel cabochon, known as a matrix turquoise and often found associated with this maker. The reverse is marked Sterling Silver and the pin is fastened with a 'C' clasp. A gorgeous period brooch by a great designer of the Arts and Crafts movement.
