A very distinctive and beautiful antique earthenware vase with an incised or sgraffito decoration of Stylised leaves, made by Della Robbia Pottery, Birkenhead, England at the turn of the 19th century.

The underside of the base is incised with the letters "DR" (Della Robbia) the painted initials "A.S." for Annie Smith and “J.S.” for Jessie Sinclair and a galleon afloat in the waves, representing the Della Robbia Pottery in Birkenhead.
Condition is very good with just a couple fire cracks one to each the handle and a nibbles under the foot rim. As collectors will know perfect pieces of Della Robbia are very rare.
