An elegant fully hallmarked solid gold antique locket. This piece is ornamented with acanthus leaves, forget-me-nots and a shield cartouche. Acanthus leaves express the desire for longevity. Forget-me-nots symbolise true love and respect. The shield shape represents the wish of the donor to protect the wearer.

This antique was assayed (tested for purity) at Chester Assay Office in 1913.

The locket is suspended from an elegant 18 inch necklace. The interior of the locket is fitted with the original frames and clear portrait protectors. The catches and hinges work perfectly.
