1890's Antique Art Nouveau Pansy Waste or Slop Bowl
#AD080:
A stunning Victorian era pottery pansy bowl recently found in Devon, England. The elder gentleman I bought it from remarked that it had been in his own Devon family for "years and years." The bottom has a deep red iron oxide number overglaze painted mark that reads "391", otherwise it is unmarked. Any help with maker or pattern is greatly appreciated. Please email Debra here.
The condition is beautiful and we were very happy to find it. Click images to see condition in very close up and movable views. The colours are deep purples, blues, lavender, red, orange, yellow, green with very classic and beautiful decorative Victorian gold gilt gilded ornamental embellishments.
A lovely old uncommon piece in great condition. There is a feeling of the art nouveau movement in this later 19th century piece. The inside bowl rim has a gold gilt running scalloped trim, which is an extra and lovely embellishment to this beautiful vintage pansy piece.
Size: 6" diameter x 3" height ——We have a 100% approval policy. For any questions, email Debra at the contact box below. Thank you, ~debra
