1830s Brass Crane Candlestick Thomas Abbott B'ham
We are pleased to offer this beautiful original 1830s Candlestick by the Birmingham Lamp Maker and Brass Founder Thomas Abbott, which bears his mark on the cast iron inset base.
The candlestick comprises a Crane with very well cast wing and tail feathers, standing on a naturalistic base of rocks, shells and vegetation. The crane has a crown around its neck and has a stem in its beak, bearing three leaves and a bud.
Height to top of sconce: 15 1/4 inches - 38.25cm
Base diameter: 6 inches - 15.25cm
Materials: Brass & cast iron
Condition: Very good. There is no damage and it is good clean condition.
