Stunning Victorian Writing Desk - Rosewood - c1870
A very desirable quality Victorian five drawer writing desk of useful proportions presented in excellent condition.
Rising from tapered fluted legs, upon original brass and porcelain generously sized castors, into the main body featuring five drawers with mahogany linings and original turned knobs.
The desk displays a finished back allowing the piece to be used in a setting where it does not have to be placed against a wall.
The upper presents a pleasing work area perfect for regular use. The leather skiver is classic Oxford green and is both tooled and embossed - it is in fine order throughout in keeping with rest of the desk.
Overall a top quality example in exceptional order providing huge style and practicality. A rare desk in this size, quality and condition.
