A beautifully figured burr walnut chest on cupboard by Waring and Gillows dating from circa 1920. This attractive piece of antique furniture is of very high quality with a serpentine front, reeded side columns and carving. It features cross banded serpentine drawers and cupboard which all have cock beading. It comprises 2 short drawers over 1 long drawer over a cupboard. All the drawers and the cupboard have brass locks which work and come with a key. It has its original handles of a flower on shaped back plate along with wonderful patination to the burr walnut. Would work well in a bedroom as a tallboy as a storage unit in a living room.

Walnut and burr walnut veneer.


Condition Report

Good condition, very Solid. Nice patination to the wood. Some small worm holes to the feet which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution. An old mend to the trim on the cupboard door. DELIVERY
