This vintage powder compact is suitable for use with loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
This is such a beauty! An unused Zenette copper 1930s loose powder compact with the most gorgeous guilloche design. The copper hue making this vanity even more enchanting. An ideal one of a kind copper wedding / 7th anniversary gift. The design on the lid is the classic Art Deco sunburst design. The sun in the center is replaced by a beautiful daisy form flower with many petals. Radiating out from the flower clam-shell like waves & the composition finished off perfectly by a border of flowers & foliage.
Such a well made compact the signature is tiny, so subtle, so as not to interfere with the gorgeous engraving. It is signed 'Zenette MADE IN ENGLAND'. The original protective insert is still in the powder well with the flocked lined leatherette puff & velour edged sifter. The mirror is good & gives an accurate reflection. The base is decorated with an engine turned design made up of tiny diamond shapes.
This deco vanity measures 8.7 cm & weighs 73.2 grams.
