This exquisite Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport features inlays of mahogany, box, and satinwood. The top lid opens to reveal a stationery/pen compartment above a sloped leather writing surface. Inside, there is a satinwood interior with two mahogany-lined drawers and two dummy drawers, each with finely turned handles, although one is missing. The central panel is supported by spiral, ring-turned columns with ornate carvings at both ends, terminating in flat bun feet on the original castors. To the right side, there are four mahogany-lined drawers with bun handles, and to the left, corresponding dummy drawers. The piece is in very good condition, with minor wear appropriate for its age and use, boasting an exceptional patina.
