A very gorgeous rare & unused boxed Yardley gift set c.late 1930s
Such a lucky find it comprises of
1.An unused Yardley compact rouge with a signed Yardley puff.
The compact rouge is beautiful with curled feather like details in white enamel to each side.
The centre has a white enamel detail with gilt feather like decorations set atop. The clasp is smart red with a gilt edge. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good reflection.
It has a little age related haze. The compact comprises of a powder well with a lid & another
section for rouge- complete with the original sealed rouge. The base is decorated with fine horizontal lines which surround an oblong cartouche on which "Yardley" is inscribed. All in beautiful unused condition.
2.A sealed Yardley "Dry Rouge REFILL".
3.A sealed sachet of Yardley "ENGLISH COMPLEXION POWDER PERFUMED WITH 'BOND STREET'.
4.A wonderful unused lipstick. This lipstick has the original label which reads "YARDLEY NEW YORK RED BURGUNDY". The top of the lipstick is signed "Yardley" & the gilt tube is decorated
to match the compact with white enamel curled leaf details. Lift off the tube to reveal a perfect
red lipstick which works perfectly. Just twist the tube.
5.A cute little pot of 'Bond Street' Yardley talcum powder still sealed & perfect.
6.A perfect bottle of 'Bond Street' Yardley toilet water - the contents long since evaporated.

All of these delightful vintage vanities are presented in the most gorgeous Yardley presentation box. The exterior is decorated in red, white & blue with an attractive curled leaf detail to match its contents. The presentation box is in remarkaby good condition & works perfectly.
The lid being held open by a pretty red ribbon. But that is not all! Inside the box are wonderful drawings of famous London landmarks such as Tower Bridge & The Tower of London.
In the centre signed "YARDLEY OF LONDON NEW YORK".

The compact rouge measures 8.5 cm X 5 cm.
The lipstick measures 5 cm.
The sweet little talcum powder pot measures 6.5 cm X 6 cm.
The toilet water bottle measures 12 cm X 6.5 cm.
