Unused Vintage Stratton Vanity Set 1950s
The most gorgeous unused vintage Stratton vanity set crafted by the premier British maker in the 1950s. The set comprises a Stratton Empress powder compact, lipstick holder, comb and comb holder which are presented in the original case. The original puff, sifters, salve cups and pouches are present. The compact and comb holder are embellished with ornate borders and all surfaces have gilt lacquered finishes which ensure that these vanities will not require any cleaning nor will they tarnish. The original mirror stickers are present. Each item is signed Stratton. The case just like the accessories held therein is in excellent condition. The interior lid is lined with golden silk with the Stratton signature emblazoned across it. Custom made recesses covered with crimson velvet line the interior base. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.
The compact measures 8.5 cm x 7.2 cm and weighs 125.6 grams.
The compact is suitable for use with loose face powder, a handbag mirror or as a treasured collectible.
The comb and comb holder measure 11.5 cm long and weigh 50.7 grams.
The lipstick holder measures 5.7 cm long and weighs 33.7 grams.
The lipstick holder is suitable for lipstick tubes measuring 12 mm diameter.
