Unused Musical Enamel Stratton Powder Box 1950s
A enamel Stratton "Musica" made in they heyday of the Stratton brand. A beautiful musical powder box with the original mirror labels, stopper sticker, inspection docket, pouch, puff & sifter all in super condition. The lid is adorned with high quality enamel which is a joy to behold. The mirror stickers read as follows - "REUGE SWISS MUSICAL MOVEMENT I Could Have Danced All Night". "To open - inner door, press mirror lid gently back door springs open. To shut: bring mirror lid forward, and press door down. A Stratton Patent." The mirror is excellent and gives a good accurate reflection. The powder well contains the original unused luxurious signed puff, velour edged sifter and inspection docket. The inner lid is signed "Stratton" and has the "Compact-in-Hand " logo signifying this powder box is fitted with a self-opening lid. It works perfectly every time. The winder key is signed " REUGE STE. CROIX PATENT and "SWISS MADE."
The base shows the "curled feathers" design used on the most luxurious Stratton vanities. This is an uncommon Stratton & sought-after. It is delightful & to hear the quirky little tune play is relaxing & transports you back to the 1950s!
