Stunning Silver And Enamel Powder Compact 1963
A rare and stunningly beautiful sterling silver and guilloche enamel powder compact crafted by the esteemed maker Garrard & Co in 1963. For more than 160 years Garrard & Co proudly carried the responsibility of being the official Crown Jeweller to the British royal family. This very special vanity is in superb condition - no dings or damage. The lid is embellished with white guilloche enamel adorned with the most enchanting spray of vivid red carnations and two tone foliage. There isn't any enamel loss enamel / loss of design. The catch and hinge work perfectly. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The powder well is fully hallmarked and also signed GARRARD & CO LTD 112 REGENT ST W.
The compact is suitable for all loose face powder and also standard sizes of pressed powder. For example: Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte and CCUK.
The base is decorated with a stylish engine turned design. The sifter and puff are present together with an immaculate pouch. The compact measures 8.2 cm and weighs 120.8 grams.
