Pair of 19th Century French Walnut Console Tables
A Pair of 19th Century French Walnut Console Tables with Original Marble Tops.
The tables executed in highly figured walnut with sap wood veneers chosen for the bases to bring out the pattern in the timber. The original marble tops of lovely figure and supported upon deep friezes with a concealed drawer. Carved S-scroll supports lead down to a platform base and rounded toes.
The veneers are particularly well matched throughout, showing that the tables have been constructed with care by an experienced maker. Pairs of console tables are always desirable, particularly of this size.
