Circa 1890, quality late Victorian adjustable rosewood piano stool. The stuffover needlepoint upholstered seat above a deep apron with reeding at the top and bottom. On either side is a carved rosewood winding knob, which operate the rise and fall mechanism underneath which has a patent mark. All standing on elegant turned and tapering outswept legs, united by turned cross stretchers. The stool is sturdy and of a calibre that it could be used by a professional piano player.

Size 46cm high x rising to 55cm x 52cm wide x 36cm deep.
