This classic double row of rich creamy genuine Japanese Akoya 8.5 to 9mm cultured pearls are threaded with knots, onto a substantial 9ct oval, open-work clasp of partly cast construction,measuring 16.5 x 13mm with safety hook fastener bearing a London hallmark.

The outer row being 40.5cms, and inner row 39cms in length.

The Akoya oyster from which these pearls are harvested are indigenous to the waters of southern Japan. Growing to a maximum size of around 11 mm - which is rare to see, these pearls count among the larger sizes available at 8.5 mm to 9 mm diameter.

The necklace offers the classic vintage look associated with Jackie Kennedy and many other style icons of years gone by.
