Beautiful late 19th.c. gilded Gothic style niche c.1890. Architectural form with a pointed canopy with trefoil pierced front and moulded arches over four columns flanking a 10″ x 8″ shelf to take a sculpture standing up to 34″ tall. In pine with original gilding and painted centre. Note also the beautiful gold stars against a red ground below the canopy and the painted detail to the roof. Presented as found with obvious wear.
