Superb Georgian mahogany writing bureau with four drawers on bracket feet. The crossbanded fall front opens to an interior fitted with pigeon holes, drawers and a small cupboard all decorated with delicate satinwood and ebony inlay. There is two concealed compartment either side of the cupboard door for those more sensitive documents. The four graduating drawers all have decorative brass swan neck handles and escutcheons, 1 having been being replaced in the past. This is a handsome looking antique bureau with wonderful colouring and amazing patination with only marks/ scuffs in line with use and age, perfect finishing touch to any study or office.
