Exhibition Quality Pair of Antique Pedestals

Exhibition quality pair of antique Victorian amboyna and carved ebony pedestals having an amboyna top with a crossbanded edge above a frieze drawer and single door opening to reveal a shelf interior above a small drawer all in amboyna with each pedestal having exhibition quality carved ebony figures to the front corners with spectacular carved mounted panels to the cupboard door surrounded by mouldings with fabulous carved mounted panels to the drawer above and below standing on a shaped plinth base.
A showcase pair boasting exceptional quality throughout. Although the maker's mark is not evident they were most certainly crafted by a leading cabinet maker of the period and most likely commissioned pieces. The colour and standard of the carving is just spectacular.
