A lovely single bed frame. We date this bed to the very early 20th century.

The bed comes in four sections, the head and footboards, the side rails and a metal slatted base frame.

The bed sits on attractive carved legs and the side rails have a lovely carved edge.

The tall headboard and footboard both have decoratively carved pillars to the sides of an arched shaped centre.

There is a metal base with bowed slats that sits within the frame to support the mattress.

The headboard has a height of 58" (147cm) and the footboard a height of 36" (92cm), both by 40" (102cm) wide and overall length 79” (201cm). The base will support a mattress 75" (191cm) long by 36" (92cm) wide.

This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The bed has some minor indentations to the frame.

This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
