A graceful Edwardian ladies writing desk in rich, polished mahogany of elegant proportions. The two-tiered design features a raised back with twin drawers, each fitted with original brass handles and framed by a delicate gallery rail. The writing surface is inset with a beautifully tooled green leather skiver, bordered by warm mahogany. The two drawers underneath also retaining their original brass fittings and provide additional storage. The desk stands on slender, tapering legs with spade feet and discreet castors. As with all antique furniture, there are minor imperfections consistent with age, but this remains a fine example of Edwardian craftsmanship. Ideal for a bedroom, study, or decorative alcove, it combines functional beauty with understated sophistication.
