This a gorgeous Art Nouveau inlaid globe box circa 1890.. On the lid is a scene with a bird standing at its nest, surrounded by different types of flora such as pansies and daisies and ivy leaves. Each element has incorporated several different types of wood to create a 3 dimensional shape in the manner of Galle. The interior is lined in a blue silk dupioni fabric. The box is in superb condition with no missing veneer, etc.
