Art Deco standard lamp in glass and copper
Very decorative and well proportioned Art Deco copper plate and 10 glass rod column standard floor lamp, re wired using a linen braided cord, circa 1930.
The glass rod column is set around a central copper tube so you get this lovely effect running up the column and all rods are in very good condition with no cracks or chips to report.
The copper plate shade and base do have signs of age and wear and as you see from the photos, the inside of the shade has some heavy wear to it which I have left, but if you would rather this was re painted, please do let me know.
The base has the original push switch, but I have bypassed this and fitted a foot switch to the cable.
Wonderful standard lamp and such a feature piece.
Measuring:
64 1/2 inches or 164 cm high
18 1/2 inches or 47 cm shade diameter
12 inches or 30.5 cm base diameter Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
