A fabulous rare art deco Jakob Bengel galalith and gilt bracelet. An iconic piece of antique jewellery by this designer. It is inset with red galalith and of clamper style opening and closing from the top. The bracelet is totally original to the art deco era.
Galalith is the name of a plastic developed in Germany in the late 19th Century. Coco Chanel and Jakob Bangel began using the material in the production of jewellery in the 2Os and 3Os.
