A smart, elegant antique rosewood pier cabinet with inlays, gilt metal mounts and ebonised edging.

Less common to find these cabinets in rosewood (often made in walnut) which further adds to its appeal.

In good original condition this display cabinet retains the original hand drawn glass - antique wear commensurate with use.

It sits on four turned feet. These cabinets were originally intended for use in entrance halls, and drawing rooms where they stood between two windows, similar to a console table with sculptures or artwork placed on the top, and fine decorative items dispayed within.

These days they still look wonderful as display cabinets and bookcases.
