This is an antique gadget cane. An English, mahogany and brass walking stick with concealed compass and flask, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Gentleman's cane at a comfortable height of 84.5cm (33.25")
Displays a desirable aged patina
Ebonised mahogany cane with dark hues throughout
Brass ball handle in appealing golden finish

Rounded ball handle feels good in the hand, with a pleasing balance
Screw-top ball reveals a working compass with cardinal and inter-cardinal points
Second screw at handle stem opens to present a sheathed flask
