This is an antique artist's easel. An English, pitch pine folding picture stand in Arts and Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Appealing gallery or studio stand with distinctive taste

Delightfully shouldered, each stave graced with tactile chamfered edges
