A super 1950s Japanese musical powder box which is presented with the puff and sifter. The tune plays very well. The lid is adorned with a 24 karat gold and sterling silver oriental Damascene landscape.

All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The brass was coated at the point of manufacture with a layer of transparent enamel so this item will retain its beauty and never require cleaning. The inner lid of the compact is signed BSB. The bevelled mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The base is decorated with a golden textured finish. Immaculate pouch included. Measures 9 cm x 5.7 cm. Weighs 150.4 grams.
