A very good quality 19th century mahogany writing desk. The top has the original black leather inset, with well shaped rounded corners, two mahogany drawers, one stamped by the cabinet makers Johnstone & Jeanes 67 New Bond Street. A very well proportioned desk standing on shaped ends with good round feet, brass castors and supporting stretcher. A original table, with a polished back, all in very good condition, seating height of 65cm, made by Johnstone & Jeanes around 1840s all ready for use.
