This truly superb and stunning American mahogany armchair features barley twist supports and back slats with a recessed seat. The chair showcases two lovely gilt bronze swans, one on each side of the chair back, and wonderfully curved arm supports. The legs are connected by a squared X frame with a decorative central finial and stand on ornate and detailed gilt bronze ball and claw feet. It measures 26 in – 66 cm wide, 21 in – 53.3 cm deep and 43 in – 109.3 cm high, with a seat height of 17 ¼ in – 43.8 cm. Thomas Crabb Antiques was founded in 1979 and is run by Stephen Roy Thomas.
