A super unused 1950s loose powder compact. The Statue of Eros, Piccadilly Circus, London is shown in fine detail on the lid.This scene has been well protected by the original acetate cover. The inner lid is signed 'ASB MADE IN ENGLAND.' A S Brown were the owners of the Mascot brand of vanities. The mirror gives a very good and accurate reflection. The hinge and clasp work perfectly. The original box, pouch and pristine sifter are in place. The compact is in excellent condition. It looks like it has been sat in a cupboard for the last sixty plus years. Measures 7.6 cm x 7.4 cm and weighs 93.1 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
