A superb reading stand (Lecturn) , or music stand, in rosewood . Of fine construction from the William IV period in rosewood with attractive rosewood veneers. The rectangular top is fitted with a sumptuous black leather surface. There is a removable support bar to prevent papers/books from sliding off. The top lifts up and is held in place by supports underneath, it is adjustable and can be set at a range of different angles. The base is sturdy and the legs are joined by a uniting stretcher ensuring it is free from all wobbles. Its turned bun feet terminate in their original brass castors. This charming piece of antique furniture is offered for sale in excellent condition. It has a wonderful colour and patina and is ready to go straight into the home.
