A beautiful George III Welsh oak Carmarthenshire Lowboy Side Table of distinctive regional design. With wonderful colour and deep patina with well figured timber throughout.
With a sturdy two plank top over three drawers supported on turned front legs and plain square section rear legs. The carved fan shaped brackets being a particularly strong feature in pieces from the area, they are also found in dressers and chairs and are clear identifiers of their West Wales origin. In exceptional original condition with just a small number of historic worm holed to the rear legs.
A superb country table in every sense, suitable for any room in the house.
