Walnut Chest On Stand
Beautifully constructed 18th century walnut chest on stand with figured walnut veneer on the drawer fronts and elm inlaid stringing.
The legs are solid walnut and the carcass is decorated with tram-line moulding. The sides are veneered walnut and the drawers are oak lined with pine bottoms.
The top is polished and stained pine as and the backboards are also in pine.
The piece has a mellow toffee colour.
There are a couple of small old repairs on the frame of the stand and the handles are later.
Measurements: 100 cm wide (max) x 35 cm deep (max) x 153 cm high (39" x 21" x 60")
