This is a fine piece, with an absolutely exquisite enamel guilloche design to the front - so beautifully enamelled in a superb mint green, with a delicate design to the centre - edged in a further silver design to the outer edge - very Art Nouveau. With a fully engine turned base - Dating c. 1920-30, it is a period piece in immaculate order by John Gloster respected silversmith of Birmingham, it is stamped made in England. c.2.5/8" inch - The silvermakers mark is present but in the absence of official hallmarks (can often be under the mirror) will have to sell as "white metal" and this is reflected in the price. All clasps and hinges are perfect, snapping shut nicely. A fine piece that will delight the most discerning of buyers.
