A charming mid-century Stratton brand compact which has not been used. This 1940s Stratton "Muffin" compact is ideal for all loose foundation, as a handbag mirror or cherished collectible. The lid is embellished with a hand painted bouquet in an elegant vase. The original box, felt pouch, puff, sifter and guarantee rosette are present. All in excellent condition. The inner lid and mirror frame are signed STRATTON. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The original powder well protector is in place. The golden base is decorated with a fine spiral. The compact is large it measures 9cm diameter. Weighs 136.7 grams.
