This vintage powder compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A gorgeous hand painted 1940s Vogue Vanities with the most eye-catching enamelled lid showing brightly coloured flowers & foliage in very good condition. The lid has a subtle etched circular design & these vivid flowers set atop. There is no loss of design as the lid has a protective layer of clear enamel which is in very good order. Such a delightful vanity with the original suede pouch & signed puff. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is very good & gives a clear & accurate reflection. The inner lid is signed 'VOGUE Vanitie MADE IN ENGLAND'. The base is decorated with a 'herring bone' effect made up from chevrons.
This vintage powder compact measures 2 1/2'' X 2 1/2'' & weighs 83.5 grams.
