This is a lovely piece! - Beautiful and in very nice clean condition, this fabulous Art Deco powder compact dating c. 1930 is a delight! - unsigned, but often attributed to TLM (Thomas Mott) of England, and set to a white metal/possibly chrome base, it depicts lovely scene of sailing yachts on the water- using the butterfly wing tehcnique - this is a nice example of the art that was very popular during the 1920/30 Art Deco period the top is lovely with reverse painted clear celluloid cover - Measuring c. 1.3/4" inch square all clasps and hinges are perfect, opening to reveal a nice clear interior, with a high polish steel mirror and a metal removable empty powder godette and small used puff - very nice, I am hoping this little lovely will find its way to an appreciative buyer.
