Victorian walnut commode chest of drawers French

This is as opulent a dressing chest as you will see. It shrieks quality. The dressing chest is French and dates to around 1900 - 1920. It is made in figured walnut with gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. Look at the quality of the marble top! The mirror frame is heavily carved in the French manner. The glass is bevelled. Look at the gadrooned edge and the claw and ball cabriole legs. The chamfered edges are reeded and the ogee shaped top drawer is carved with acanthus leaves. The dressing chest has three further drawers and carved detailing across them. It is just beautiful.
This dressing chest has real presence. It will look magnificent in a period setting, particularly amongst antique or French bedroom antique furniture.
The condition is good. No worm or repair. Minor chip to edge of marble. I do mean minor. Walnut well polished. Mirror glass good.
The dressing chest is 49 inches wide and 40.5 inches high and 23 inches deep and the mirror is a further 32 inches higher still.
