Victorian Slate Mantel Clock Visible Escapement
A Victorian French drumhead mantel antique clock in Belgian slate. A well proportioned case with green marble panels, roundels and dial surround. A brass surround to the enamel dial with Roman numerals. A visible escapement to the dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Mechanism with S.Marti and H Marc stamps. Circa 1885.
