A stunning top quality Victorian rosewood marquetry inlaid pier cabinet. There are large floral marquetry panels to front curved top section, side up rights, the door and the plinth. The inside has a red velvet lining. The door has a double arched top, original glass and working lock.
The best part of this cabinet is the quality cast brass ormolu mounts they are stunning.
Applied to the inner door edge, top of the plinth, sides and the top and bottom of the side up rights. One can only begin to imagine what these mounts would have cost when this cabinet was made. Victorian cabinet work at it's finest.
