Victorian Pine Storage Trunk Blanket Box Chest
We have a very nice Victorian pine trunk/blanket box. It is clean and tidy, no sign of woodworm. It has been cleaned and waxed, retaining the marks of age, wear and tear and patina.
It stands on a plinth base. The lid, which is solid with no splits, is held in place by two antique strap hinges. It is structurally sound. There are original metal carry handles, one on each end. The lock is present but no key.
There is a small drawer inside. In Victorian days this could have held candles.
Ideal for clothes, bedding, toys, these trunks are often used as a coffee table in addition to their storage function, making an attractive centre piece and talking point in your living room.
